About JAMROC

JAMROC — the Jamaican Association Maximizing Resilient Officers In Corrections — was founded on April 26, 2026 by Jamaican-American professionals within the NYC Department of Corrections, united by a shared heritage and a common mission.

We are more than an organization. We are a community of purpose — corrections officers, nurses, educators, lawyers, firefighters, and public servants — all bound by the Jamaican spirit of resilience and the commitment to serve New York City with excellence.

Rooted in the motto "Out of Many, One People," JAMROC stands as a beacon of unity, heritage, and professional excellence within the NYC DOC community and beyond.
